Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony
Sunday, December 13, 2020 - 6:50 pm - 7:40 pm
Join us via zoom  Details below.

On the second Sunday of December, chapters around the world hold their candle lighting service. Join with other families and friends at 7 p.m. to remember all of our children that have left us too soon.  Join us at 6 p.m. with a social hour prior to the candle lighting program to follow at 6:45 p.m.

Note:  Due to Covid-19 this year's ceremony may be held virtually.

We wish we could all be together.   This year with Covid, we are doing it a bit differently.  We will be presenting it via zoom with many of our members.  Prior to the start, please get yourself a candle to light and a photo of your loved one we will be remembering.  At 7 pm around the world, we will be lighting a candle in memory of our child, grandchild, sibling.   The program starts at 7:50 pm.

If you have any questions please reach out to us.

The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon. As candles are lit at 7:00 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor the memory of all children gone too soon.

Now believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe, the annual Worldwide Candle Lighting, a gift to the bereavement community from The Compassionate Friends, creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone.
